Features include a hand applied 23K gold leaf finish with high gloss nitro covering, carefully selected African ribbon Mahogany back with Curly Maple top, Madagascar Rosewood fretboard and headstock veneer, 24.5" scale length with popular pattern neck profile, and the very best hardware and fittings that any guitar can hope to enjoy. This PRS highly collectible and very rare Private Stock September 2016 guitar of the month instrument. It been signed by Santana so is sure to be one of those that will continue to fascinate collectors and enthusiasts over the decades ahead. Only 20 of these guitars have been made and we are delighted to have been selected as one of the very few European dealers to receive this stunning Gold Leaf very rare model. Inspired by a special instrument made for Carlos Santana, the Private Stock September Guitar of the Month is a 24-Fret McCarty Singlecut Trem. The classic Santana/PRS combination of a 24.5” scale length, 24 frets, and a tremolo bridge live on here, and just like Santana’s personal axe, the September Guitar of the Month features a “custom wound” 58/15 treble pickup, which is wound a little hotter for a bit more power in the bridge. The September 24-Fret McCarty Singlecut Trem models are finished in Gold Leaf with a high-gloss nitro top coat. Each piece of Gold Leaf is applied by hand by Private Stock Director, Paul Miles. Each piece of Gold Leaf is approximately 3” by 3”. Each instrument has 25-30 pieces of 23k Gold Leaf per top. Only twenty of these instruments will be made for September 2016, commemorating Private Stock’s 20th Anniversary.
