FENDER Fat Telecaster made at the Corona, California USA plant Feb 03, 2000. Production #28869. The serial #Z002886X. This guitar features the exclusive 5-position switch, which is available only on the James Burton telecaster, US Fat telecaster, the Nashville B-Bender and the U.S. Hot Rod Fat telecaster. Five different settings! This guitar has excellent tone and so easy to play. New strings and set-up completed.
Front pickup is a Fender branded Humbucker with a barcode label #0053691. The pickguard is black and has a WD logo label. The bridge pickup is a early Rio Grande Halfbreed. The body has a Fender part number 0054056-000. The body has a "SB" (for sunburst) impressed in the wood in the swimming pool area. The neck is Fender labeled 0028176000 and has two date stamps: Feb 03, 2000 and Feb 18, 2000. Pick one.
This guitar has smooth, easy to play low action. The case is the deluxe profile case, which is preferred by traveling musicians because of it's smaller, compact size. The guitar does have chips that are indicative of being played, but no chips or dents are on the back of the neck. No cosmetic issue to be worried about. This is a beautiful guitar that is sure to add stage presence to your performance.
This guitar features the Tilt Neck Adjustment. That and all parts work perfectly on this guitar. Has one locking strap button in the case that does fit a strap button.
