Possibly the most recognisable of all Gibson acoustics, the J160E was made famous by the Beatles, and as such if you want to recreate that unique sound - this is the only guitar that gets you there. There have been various modern reissues by Gibson that have the look, but only a genuine vintage example will have the true sound, character, vibe and feel. Both acoustic and plugged in, it has 'that' sound. To add to the rarity of this particular guitar, it was made in 1954, the year this model was first introduced. The guitar feels very comfortable to play, with an easy action. It’s in good condition for a 62 year old guitar, with a refinished top and several tightly repaired back cracks.
