Up for sale, a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Complete with its original sleek black Ebony nitro lacquer gloss finish, this one-owner guitar also retains its original hardshell case and hangtag. Weighing in at 9lbs 12oz, this moderate weight Gibson balances well on a strap and has a strong acoustic resonance that translates well through the Burstbucker #1 and 2 PAF reissue pickups. For clarity, harmonic content, and sweet growl these pickups excel at delivering a range of distinct and dynamic tones worthy of the PAF moniker. We've had this Les Paul professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, strung with fresh 10-46 strings and dialed in for optimal action and intonation. The neck has a medium C shaped profile with enough shoulder and roundness to put it in the "50s" profile camp. The guitar retains its original fretwire, which has been professionally leveled in the guitar's lifetime, currently showing zero wear. The truss rod is responsive and the guitar plays cleanly in all positions with no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, the original Gibson Deluxe tuners with tulip buttons are intact, turn smoothly, and hold pitch as they should. All of the electronics are untouched, with the original wiring harness and Burstbucker humbuckers. The original hardware and plastic is all accounted for as well, with some light surface patina on the chrome, but no serious wear of any kind. Cosmetically, this guitar has signs of light use over the past 14 years, with targeted buckle rash on the back that doesn't go through the finish, as well as pick wear on the bass side of the pick path. There are also a few small nicks on the neck profile and on the lower bout of the top behind the tailpiece which don't affect playability in the slightest. The original hardshell case is included along with the factory checklist/hangtag.
