I'm selling this tenor because I was finally able to purchase a newer Peter Ponzol pro tenor a few weeks back. This is a terrific sax, it sounds wonderful with my Arnold Brillhart 7* and Vandoren #2 reed, I could keep it for a back up if necessary, but I know that I won't be playing it enough to justify keeping it, plus, I don't feel confident enough to play with a band yet, but It was owned and played by a professional jazz saxophonist
This is a King Zephyr Tenor. It has a great full powerful tone. It has the double socket neck and Its serial number is 369*** right at 1960, so it is in the range that many people consider the best Zephyr's.  The sax has no issues. It plays perfectly from top to bottom and even at my skill level which is intermediate I can make it sound wonderful.  It was just professionally serviced at Marshal's Music in Dearborn, MI, three weeks ago, re-did the cork on neck (shown in photo with the sax in the upright position in the sax stand) and replaced a few pads, tightened a few screws, normal tune-up stuff.Sax has zero leaks, good pads, great sound, there is nothing it needs except you playing it right out of the case.
