Beautiful long neck soprano pineapple ukulele from legendary Hawaiian ukulele makers Kamaka. 2016 marks a century of ukulele production for the Kamaka family, and they are celebrating with special 100th anniversary edition ukuleles, for this year only. Solid Hawaiian Koa bodyRosewood fingerboard and bridgeKoa faceplate on headstock inlaid with 100th anniversary logo in Abalone, Mother of Pearl, and Ebony.Gotoh UPT geared tuners with special edition black postsSemi-gloss finishConcert scale neck, soprano body14 frets to the body, 18 in totalLiving Waters stringsThis is a wonderful instrument, with a lovely sweet, warm tone. It is an absolute joy to play, thanks to the incredibly comfortable Kamaka neck shape, and it plays beautifully all the way up the fretboard. The geared tuners are incredibly smooth and easy to use, allowing for very accurate tuning (although they have the look of friction tuners, they have nothing else in common with them!). I bought it about two months ago, but recently the opportunity to buy my dream uke has come up, and sadly, I have to let this one go.I purchased it from an American dealer who had accidentally 'dinged' it on the back. The ding is shown in the last photograph, and is reflected in the price. There is also a small indentation in the back that happened at the same time as the ding, but it is very hard to spot, and impossible to photograph. I have played it a lot, and there is a bit of shine in the semi-gloss finish on the corner of the lower bout, where the player's arm rests. There is also a small shiny area to the right of the soundhole, which I think I caused by over enthusiastically attempting to remove a fingerprint. This shiny patch is visible in photograph number 7, it is only really noticeable in certain light. Here is a link to a short sound sample of this uke:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMWccE6EStQ (Please copy and paste this into your browser if ebay doesn't create a hyperlink!)PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE
