THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION.  PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID. Check out my !Be sure to add me to your ! *Today I am listing the latest installment of mouthpieces and other sax gear which I am selling on consignment for saxophonist Frank Catalano. For those of you who may not be familiar, Frank is a true heavy hitter in the jazz world and has been featured on multiple Grammy winning albums. He is also the quintessential gear hound, having amassed a collection of over 500 mouthpieces! He now endorses and plays Jody Jazz mouthpieces exclusively so he is purging some of his massive collection of mouthpieces he has acquired over many years. Be sure to check out my other items for more great mouthpieces from this collection. There will be more to come later, so add me to your favorites list and check back later to see new additions. This auction is for a vintage Conn tenor saxophone neck from a 'transitional' era horn. This was the period during which they were gradually transitioning from the New Wonder II (Chu Berry) model to the 10M (Naked Lady). I would guess that this neck would work with any of those models, although it might need some modification to the receiver. Actually, be advised that even if you're horn is a transitional model you might still need to have this neck 'fitted' to your instrument by a repair technician. The tenon measures in at 1 and 3.5/32nds of an inch in diameter. This neck is in great shape with no pull down or other damage. It is gold plated, but it was not originally so. This was an aftermarket plating job done relatively recently to match the horn Frank was using it on. I believe Frank was using this neck instead of that horn's original neck because this one played much better, but he eventually sold the horn with its original neck only, which is why this one is now available for purchase. It's rare to find vintage necks like this being sold as stand alone items. Usually you have to buy a parts horn to get them (and then another horn ends up neck-less). If you have a vintage Conn from this era with a missing or damaged neck, or just if you want a better neck, this could be just the ticket for you!  Please feel free to email me with any questions.
Thanks again for looking!
