The Deering Artisan Americana is the ultimate open back banjo. Made in California. It has been custom ordered with a scoop for frailing/clawhammer players.3 ply violin grade 12 inch maple pot, and rock wood maple neck. Perfect action due to nice setup and a straight neck. Has an adjustable tailpiece and geared planetary tuning machines. Has the "Midnight Maple" fingerboard with synthetic mother of pearl inlays. Deering includes spikes at 7th,9th,10th fret for the ability to capo the Light weight (5 lbs) for comfort and and ease of travel. Great sound and playability. The 12 inch pot coupled with the renaissance head gives this banjo a warmer tone with lots of projection. Comes with a 6 year warranty. Free freight and will ship same/next day.
