I'm trimming down the herd due to too many guitars, and have decided to let this sweet instrument go. I haven't had a chance to play it much, but it's got lots of life left in it, and it just needs someone to put it through it's paces and make it sing, scream, growl, and moan! These G&L ASAT's are a refinement of the Fender Telecaster, with some nice improvements thanks to Leo Fender's continual innovation!There are plenty of signs of wear on the guitar, including dings and chips in the finish, some fret wear (but still plays and sets up nicely with low action, with plenty of frets left). The worst paint chip appears to have had a bit of super glue applied to keep a chunk of paint in place, and can be seen in one of the pics. Let me know if you need more images with detail of anything. There is a small chunk missing on the tip of the plastic pickguard near the upper bout of the guitar. As with any instrument purchase, you'll probably have to do a set-up on the guitar to accommodate your local climate and playing preferences. It's set up with .009's (strings) currently. The cosmetic signs of use just give it some nice "mojo" in my eyes; if you want a showroom-quality beauty, this probably isn't your guitar. I'm selling a great player for far less money than a brand new one will cost you.The pickups are "hotter" than standard Tele pickups, and sound great. The black anodized hardware is in good shape. The instrument has silver, sperzel tuners that work well too. The body is made of swamp ash.You can have the fender hardshell case that's pictured with the guitar if you want, but it's got several cracks in it and is in rough shape -- it'll at least protect the instrument well during shipping.Please ask all questions before bidding, as all sales are final and instrument is used and sold "AS-IS."
