If you think your seeing something not mentioned in this listing, please ask!! There are lots of pics, so when you receive it, its exactly what you expected, if not better. No surprises with this sale.. Buy with confidence! Please review all pics for the true cosmetic condition after reading this description. Here's The Run Down: This is A Very Cool 1969 Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary In Smoke Green that's in good condition over all for its age (see pics). The binding on this guitar is in pretty nice shape compared to others I've had, with NO binding rot. There is some cracking that you can see, but all is there, secure and none is in threat of coming off. No repairs, damage or changes other than some kind of button mounted to the back of the body, and a touched up dime size indent/chip? on the face of the head stock above the anniversary plate (both pictured). It is in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (see pics). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics). This guitar has a slight gap starting at the neck joint, so having it tightened up should give you some adjustment on the bridge (pictured). No attempt to repair the gap has been made. The original finish does has some checking, dings, chips, marks and/or flaws here and there as pictured, but still very respectable. There is quite a bit of discoloration of the nickel hardware. The upper bout strap button is missing, but the stud is still present. All original electronics operate as they should without issue. The neck has a working truss rod and plays reasonable without buzz from one end of the finger board to the other. This Vintage 6118 Gretsch plays fine as it is. I think its currently set the best it can be, but everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking. The action is currently 3/32" at the 12th fret and body with a working truss rod, but the bridge is bottomed out. It plays fine from one end of the fingerboard to the other without buzz or fret issues, but if you like shredder string height, 3/32" may be a little high for your liking. The included '70s Fender Hard Case is a dreadnaught case. It does fit the guitar properly with the exception of the depth. The guitar fits snug in the case and fits better than you would expect. The case is in good shape overall without issue other than some cosmetic flaws from use and age. Make sure you view all of the pics and ask questions if you have any concerns before buying.
