Category: Santa Cruz OM or PW Acoustic Gui
Class:
Description Body Type: Hollow Body Color: Natural Brand: Santa Cruz Soundboard Style: Flat Top Model: OM/PW Series: OM/PW Body Material: Rosewood, Spruce Exact Year: 2003 Dexterity: Right-Handed Country/Region of Manufacture: United States String Configuration: 6 String
OM/PW-2546 was completed in 2003 and is a Brazilian OM/PW with a cutaway. All other specs, including Sitka Spruce top, are standard to the OM/PW. A repair shop has told me that the bridge appears to have been re-glued. The seller I bought it from made no mention of that so I'm not sure if that is truly the case. There is a long scratch in the back finish which is actually a tight crack in the wood. Otherwise the guitar has had no other repairs that I am aware of. The finish is pristine otherwise, no checking or dings except the rear corner of the headstock has a ding.” Serial number: 2546. This instrument was made with Venetian (rounded) cutaway body, Sitka spruce top with scalloped x-bracing, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, back and sides, tortoiseshell grain pickguard, multi-ply soundhole rosette with herringbone wood marquetry center ring, ebony bridge, mahogany neck, stylized “SCGC” mother-of-pearl peghead inlay, individual tuners with ebony buttons, ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and multi-ply black binding on body top and back edges. The instrument is currently housed in a hard-shell case with tweed cloth exterior covering and purple plush interior lining.
I'm selling this as-is with a full disclaimer regarding it's present condition and any defects to the best of my knowledge. If you are looking for a flawless museum piece this isn't the guitar for you. This guitar should be played and enjoyed. The guitar itself plays wonderfully with a beautiful balanced tone you would expect from Brazilian rosewood. Enjoy.
