And to find one in this condition, especially in koa wood, is even more rare.There are a few odd nicks and scratches, but no cracks or repairs.it sounds deep and rich, like a pineapple ukulele, only better.The surprising thing is, it's actually easy to play, too!The original tuners work great, and stay in tune.The body is made of solid mahogany, with a rosewood fretboard andLyon & Healy's trademark "smile" bridge shape... with original bridge pins!The green celluloid binding, soundhole binding, saddle, nut, fretboard dots, and "kite" logo are unique to L & H, and strangely beautiful.An amazing 16 frets to the body, 17 total, allow plenty of high chords.This is an ukulele that is not only a conversation piece, but awesome to play,and a real piece of history.
