A fantastic relic body from an American Vintage '57 Strat (from 2011) which also includes a fully-loaded "cream-of-the-crop" Gilmour setup (just like his iconic Black Strat featured on the Floyd records)... with Fender Custom Shop pickups: Fat '50s neck, '69 middle pickup, and an exclusive Seymour Duncan Custom Shop SSL-1C DG (aka SSL-5). The body is light, resonant, and looks great, too. The color on the body is a light metallic blue (aka Lake Placid Blue), and it is a refinish from the original Candy Apple Red (which I got tired of seeing after a while, and I like the "cool blue" better).
The hardware is lightly aged on the chrome hardware (tremolo system, output-jack plate, etc) and on the plastic parts (parchment pickguard, vintage white knobs and pickup covers, etc.), by the way. The wood body once sported a Clapton Noiseless setup (which was great, too), but this current setup is THE SOUND you're looking for if you're into Classic Rock and don't want a sterile-sounding electric guitar. I had this guitar for several years, and it's been one of the best Stratocasters I've ever played... No B.S., and I've had Custom Shop productions models before, too.
Before the guitar was disassembled, it weighed in exactly at 7 lbs, 6 oz's.; an ideal weight for a Fender Strat. The neck plate and screws are included. It is a replica-made one (although the plate is a genuine Fender part) with the same type of numerical serial numbers (same font/size/script) as with the originals. It has no letters; just numbers that resemble the time period of the late-1960s. It looks like the real deal without having to spend a couple hundred dollars on an actual vintage one. This replica neck plate alone was $50.00 when I purchased it, and I'm throwing it in with the sale. The neck is not included in the sale although it is shown in some of the pictures. Please see other listing for the neck.
