If you found this listing you probably know what this is. For a few years in the 2000's Paul Stanley was endorsed by Silvertone. This is the Pro model which has a contoured top, set neck, exposed Duncan Designed humbuckers, and Grover tuning machines to differentiate it from the budget Special. There is a lot of info on this Paul Stanley guitar at this site. Also I will throw in a print ad featuring this guitar model (although if you look closely it looks like the inlays resemble the Stage model more - if you visit the link you'll see what I mean).It's a fun guitar and feels comfortable to play. Consensus online is that if you are using this for gigging/recording then upgrading the pickups is a good idea. For my practice room Kiss-riffing I didn't find it necessary.I tried to show some of the imperfections in the pics but the glossy surface makes it difficult. There are light pick type scratches around the place, on the mirror pickguard, etc. The most notable things are two smallish dings on the back of the body, and some dirt and rough edges with some of the binding on the fretboard and horns/bouts. No exposed wood that I can see. The inlays have some extra dark areas around them on the fretboard which I'm guessing is just factory stuff. Also the previous owner obviously removed a factory sticker down at the headstock. The guitar is a little neck heavy when on a strap (sort of like a Gibson SG in my opinion). The tone pot has less friction than the 2 volume controls.I have kept it in a smoke free home since I got it (used) and never gigged with it.I am aware of no issues beyond those listed above.
