1971 Guild Starfire V semi-hollow body/neck. This is Guild's version of Gibson's ES-335.  These are fine instruments with every bit the quality of the Gibson. Lots of good honest play wear. Finish checking throughout. Scuffs, scratches, nicks and dings noted. Sometime in the past, the neck was reset with too shallow a neck angle.  The action is very high at the lowest bridge adjustment.  Do not know how the original work was done but the neck will have to be reset for it to be playable. Guitar stand/play marks on back of neck. Finish was removed from back of neck.  Some minor fretboard wear. Medium fret wear.  Plenty of meat on frets.  Tongue of the fretboard (the part over the body (starts at 18th fret to end)) is rising slightly because of the improper neck set.  The rest of the neck is straight to my eye.  There is a screw hole in the back of the headstock that was presumably for a strap button. No cracks or repairs at headstock (checked with UV light source). Have several additional photos of the joint as well as other details that are available upon request. The guitar had a nice low action when received. Guitar stand/play marks on back of neck.  Serial number: 677xx. Weighs (as shown in photos) 5 pounds, 15.2 ounces. Photos are part of the description so please view them carefully. Please ask any questions that you need to.   Shipping is for lower 48.
