Unfortunately the time has come to move home and I need to reduce my guitar collection to pay some of the costs!This is an all original US made, 1977 , two tone sunburst Jazzmaster that sounds amazing and is an awesome player that contradicts the reputation of CBS made fenders!It is well played but there is plenty of life left in the frets and the various wear and tear just adds to the appeal (no fake relic-ing here) the pick ups are great and the neck is beautiful maple with a little flame in there and still holds its lacquer. The volume pot is a little crackly but would be cheap to replace. All other circuitry works great. The body is very light (think it may be ash not alder) and the paintwork shows it's 40 years with some checking a fair few scratches and dings in the usual places, but nothing significant to be worried about, and certainly nothing that impacts its playability. Trem and tuners are all original and work perfectly, although the bridge suffers from the classic Jazzmaster/Jaguar buzz (easily fixed with a good set up) The case is a 1970s non Fender hard case, very cool, which also shows a lot of honest wear and is suffering a little with the padding having seen better days. A new case might be a good idea if you plan on moving it around a lot.I am unsure of the value as they are so rare, but one thing is for sure, they will probably only ever go up in value and take into consideration the cost of a new vintage spec USA made jazzmaster!I live in southampton, and would prefer cash on collection, but can send by insured courier if needed.Happy to send more pics if needed.
