Description Suhr Modern Pro, Maple FIngerboard, Gotoh 510 Bridge Electric Guitar - Transparent Blue Denim/Slate Suhr believes that great instruments inspire great performances. Every detail of the Modern Pro was carefully considered when they set out to craft an instrument that upholds this belief. The Modern shape is their high-performance take on the 24 fret design. The sleek elliptical neck profile, balanced asymmetrical body, and innovative neck heel deliver unmatched playability and comfort. The stunning Flame Maple top is available in a variety of transparent finishes that have been developed to enhance its natural beauty. Features BASSWOOD Native to Asia, Europe, and North America, Basswood gained prominence as a favored tone wood for shredders in the 1980’s. It is light in color and weight with almost no grain pattern. It is best suited for solid colors or as a backing wood for a figured top. Basswood bodies have a fat, well-balanced tone that produces smooth sounds without any hard edges. Favored by blues and rock players for its strong, clear, full-bodied sound, with beefy mids and excellent lows. Alder is used extensively for guitar bodies because of its light weight and its full sound. MAPLE Sourced mostly from the Northern United States and Canada and is commonly used to make necks. Maple has a classic tone, strong in the midrange with a sweet spanky high end. PAU FERRO Normally found in Brazil and Bolivia, Pau Ferro is a tight grained hardwood that has a similar feel and sound to rosewood, but is harder and slightly lighter in color. Pau Ferro has: a percussive attack, excellent clarity, a fat low-end ,and a pronounced high-end sparkle. These characteristics make Pau Ferro particularly well suited to high gain styles such as rock and metal. NECK Each Modern Pro is equipped with our Modern Elliptical neck profile. Rolled edges and a 10-14” compound fingerboard radius offers a substantial, yet comfortable shape. NECK FINISH The quarter sawn Maple neck is finished in satin acrylic urethane, which provides the smooth feel of natural wood as well as protection from moisture. FRETS Every Modern Pro includes jumbo stainless steel frets, which offers silky smooth bending and long-lasting playability. Utilizing the PLEK process on each instrument guarantees the best possible string action, ensures optimized playability and eliminates intonation problems. ELECTRONICS The Modern Pro™ is available in either H-H or H-S-H pickup configurations. SSH+ The SSH+ is a high output pickup that produces a clear cutting top-end with excellent harmonics and a focused low end. Recommended for Rock and Classic Metal. SSV The SSV is a versatile pickup that combines the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition. It is wound hotter for more output, increased sustain and a sweet midrange response. ML STANDARD (OPTIONAL) The ML (Mike Landau) Standard single-coil pickup is overwound for more output and sustain. The ML Standard features our proprietary modified staggered pole piece design to provide an even magnetic field needed to accommodate instruments with flatter neck radius and today’s string gauges. BODY FINISH Our finishing process provides an unparalleled combination of protection, beauty, and tone. Great care is taken to ensure that the thinnest possible layers of finish are applied. This allows the wood to resonate freely while still providing ample protection. Our state of the art equipment, experienced staff and uncompromising quality control ensures that no instrument leaves our facility until it meets our demanding standards. HARDWARE TUNERS The Modern Pro is equipped with staggered locking tuners, which provide improved tuning stability and eliminate the need for a traditional string tree. BRIDGE The Modern Pro is available with a Gotoh 510 or Gotoh Floyd Rose bridge option. GOTOH 510 The Gotoh 510 tremolo bridge features dual steel knife edge pivot points to provide greater functionality and years of trouble free performance. The 510’s steel tremolo block was designed to allow the strings to contact the saddle without touching the block as it passes through, which increases sustain and tuning stability.
