here is a Jackson KV Pro Dave Mustaine signature in cherry sunburst, MIJ with upgraded parts.None of the various Mustaine King Vs are common by any means today, but if you have been searching for one you know that the cherry sunburst is the hardest to find. Of course the USA KV1 was never offered in cherry.
On top of that, the cherry bursts that are in existence, vary in the quality of the finish. Not all have nice figured maple tops or age nicely. This has a nice subtly quilted top and an even burst. It doesn't capture too well on my cellphone camera with room lighting but is a bit more "vibrant" and "3-D" than the pics suggest. It is in generally good & clean condition. It has slight player wear, a deep scratch in the paint along the lower side of the body, a couple along the body edges, chips on the tips, and the edge of the headstock. All pictured in closeup the last few pics. These few marks detract it from an excellent rating in my opinion, and is nothing excessive for a guitar of its age. There is only light fretwear. Ebony fretboard is clean and nice. Pickups are Seymour Duncan(upgraded from stock Jackson) and Bill Lawrence.All the hardware (Kahler bridge, jack cover, tuners, knobs) was replaced with new. Everything was an upgrade, tuners are now Gotoh.
In fact, all the original parts are not in bad condition at all, and can be kept for backup, as matching gold hardware is hard to find. All the above will be included.There are no issues, this guitar is ready to plug in and play out of the box.The hardshell case is the original Charvel/Jackson, this is also in quite good shape for its age. One of the metal feet has sunken in, and a bottle cap was stuck in place for balance which actually works well. If you are familiar with these cases you know they are notoriously prone to damage. Also it is huge, and the shipping I am charging does not cover the actual cost.This cherry KV is a very cool finish that Dave was very fond of in the late 90s. He made many live and TV appearances with it and also many trade ads from that era. This is a killer guitar for not a lot of money. I have just run out of space for something this big but I am not going to make a hard sell as I spent years trying to acquire a nice one.bonus included:
