This is an early 90's Custom Telecaster. I believe it to be Made In Mexico, but when I purchased it, I was told it was a USA model. This guitar has a really cool, natural relic vibe. The guitar got relic'd the old fashioned way; by playing the wee out of it!! Really nice gold appointments; Bigsby tremelo, bridge, bridge plate, control plate, neck plate etc. etc. Headstock decal is from the early 80's black and gold special Edition Fenders, as this guitar was built to that standard. I added all the best parts that money could buy to this guitar. Seymour Duncan Antiquity '56 bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan Antiquity Quarter Pounder neck pickup with gold cover. Fender 'F' gold neck plate. Finally I added real Fender gold locking tuners. These perfectly match the profile of the original tuners, so no extra holes were drilled. They are also staggered height tuners, so no string tree is necessary. This guitar plays and sounds great, exactly what you would expect from a Telecaster. This guitar plays very easy. Nice easy string tension, bending, and the Bigsby actually stays in tune!  I have rotated the controls 180* so that the volume knob is in a more natural position. If you are a die hard vintage Tele guy, the controls could easily be swapped back around, as there is plenty of wire length under there. Fender amplifier (?) knobs, very retro-cool. This guitar is a great alternative to a true vintage 60's or 70's instrument, that would easily cost 4x as much. Half the price of the modern '52 reissues. There was a humbucker mounted in the neck position at one point, so there is room underneath, to put one in, if you desire. I will include a nice 3 ply humbucker pickguard with the the sale. Very nice Original Hardshell case. G&G style black tolex, black fur. Flat rate shipping, and professionally boxed and packaged, to your door. No disappointments, here. If you are looking for a vintage vibe, true relic Telecaster, that plays and sounds great, at a very reasonable price -- look no further!
