1979 Bradley / Epiphone Emperor Thinline
High-End Matsumoku / MIJ
Neck Width: 1 11/16th (43.4 mm) w/Ebony FB
17" Semi-Hollow Thinline, w/Center Block
Original Pickguard and Hardshell Case Included Here is something you don't see very often: a vintage Epi Emperor Thinline -- branded as Bradley for the Veneman Music chain of music stores on the East coast. This is Matsumoku / Japanese lutherie at there very best, as this was the top-of-the-line electric archtop from Gibson / Japan line. The guitar plays fantastically, with very low action, perfect neck, and I have just re-crowned and leveled the frets, and it plays like a dream. The construction on this guitar is a work of art in itself, the ebony FB is beautifully inlaid, and the neck construction is rock solid. The top and sides are spruce/maple laminated, and there are some hairline cracks in the top spruce layer, but these are cosmetic only. Also the original pickguard is included, but not attached, but the original mounting screws are included. The guitar has a center block, and so is a very rare Byrdland / ES-350 body type, but with the center block of the ES-335, so it is unusual and rare in that sense as well having the Bradley headstock. Please check our OTHER EBAY LISTINGS for more unusual electrics, as well as Pro Audio gear, Ameritage Guitar cases -- and we are the world's leading manufacturer of 10-String Classical Harp guitars, with over 500 guitars sold during the last 10-years. Thanks for looking!!!
