Read moreabout the condition Brand: Conn Body Material: Brass Type: Baritone/Bass Key Finish: nikel plated Body Finish: Gold Lacquer Skill Level: Intermediate
This is a Conn -- 12M 1958 baritone sax. It has barely seen the light of day. Three tiny dings on the outer rim of bell but barely noticeable. The finish is 99% perfect all around with the typical mild wear on the side from rubbing on a belt or band chair. Resonators are metal and pads are still soft and all the tone holes fully seal. The action is very even with the exception of the low Bb side key which is a bit stiff to be played with the pinky finger. It is a very responsive horn overall for channeling your inner Dana or Pepper or whatever. Includes original case, neck (recently recorked), one specially made mouthpiece. Please ask as I do not wish to advertise but I will include it upon request. Original (and uncomfortable) neck strap. Aside from slight wear on the "belt line" area and the tiny dents on the rim, the horn looks as if it teleported from 1958. The nickel platting is clowdy in spots due to age but could be brought back to life very easily.
