A superb example of a quality built Professional Buffet S1 wooden French clarinet. Highly regarded by many discerning clarinetists for their superb quality, wooden build, and excellent sound and playability.
According to the research, when American investor Martin Tolchin bought Buffet Crampon in the 1970s he realized the success of the Buffet R13 model in the USA. So he decided to create models based on the R13 but with an added aim on producing a darker more focused sound. The Buffet S1 is equivalent to the R13, was manufactured in the 1970s and was designed to have an inverse taper barrel and bore similar to earlier R13 models. This Buffet Crampon S1 Bb Clarinet is in great condition. It has been played consistently by my daughter in concert band for 4 years. When I purchased it for her, I had all corks and pads replaced and keys checked and adjusted. It sounds and plays beautifully. This truly is a professional grade clarinet. Also included is a Vandoren B45 mouthpiece with Rovner Dark ligature. Thank you for your interest in this beautifully crafted instrument.
