What makes this guitar special:  100% original & superb player with dynamite tone & action!  The neck on this beauty is absolutely amazing - very nicely rounded & it gets chunkier as you move up towards the body.  Many of the Specials we come across from this period have slimmer profile necks, but this one is really beefy!  Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds fantastic!Cosmetic Condition:  Typical light play wear for a guitar its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, mild buckle rash & some light finish wear.  There's a very tiny crack in the pickguard near one of the screws, but really for the most part the guitar looks great & has that authentic vintage look with a beautiful patina.Neck:  Chunky mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots.  Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.  Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Gibson Deluxe strip tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.Body:  Contoured, solid mahogany body with 4-ply large black pickguard.  Tremolo tailpiece & compensated bridge with chrome hardware.  Guitar weighs 7 lbs 0.3 oz.Pickups:  P-90 single coils with black 'soap bar' covers.  Bridge - 8.32K ohms; Neck - 8.45K ohms.  Dual volume & tone controls with black 'witch hat' knobs; 3-way toggle switch.  Pots date to '70 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.Case:  Newer Gibson hardshell case included.
