Powered by Frooition Pro 1988 Yamaha SA2200 Semi Hollow Electric Guitar - Amber Burst w/Case - SA-2200 Item Description 1988 Yamaha SA2200 Semi Hollow Electric Guitar in good condition. The guitar has a fair amount of dents and dings on the front. The back has some smaller along with some larger dents. The sides also have some smaller dents along with a moderate scratch by the tone controls. The output jack has been reinforced with a metal jack plate. Nice Amber burst finish on the beautiful flame maple top, back, sides and neck with gold hardware. The gold hardware has some light wear around the edges. The guitar is set up with a nice action and neck with a bound ebony fretboard and mother of pearl block inlays feels great. The frets are in very good condition with only light playwear. The pickups have a great tone with nice output and the tone controls are push/push switches that tap the coils for it's corresponding pickups. This gives you nice single coil tones for even greater tonal possibilities. The guitar is equipped with a tune-o-matic style bridge, stop bar tailpiece and sealed tuners. One of the tuners is missing its cap (see picture). This guitar will hold its own to 335's in craftsmanship, quality and tone. This instrument is equally at home with all styles of music from smooth jazz, bluesy blues to rock. These Yamaha's have a following and are sought after for a reason.
