1965 Gibson SG Standard
The one, the only, the Elite Stratocaster. Built in the early 80s these guitars had some appointments similar to a normal Strat as well as some appointments that catered to the rockers from the era. This 83 Elite is overall in great shape and sounds fabulous. Great playability up and down the neck. Cool Strat! Clean and absolutely fantastic 1965 Gibson SG Standard in its original cherry finish. Chrome hardware, dual patent sticker pickups, 1.58 in nut width, Lyre tremolo unit. This exceptionally clean example retains its original and un-faded cherry finish and the original chrome hardware also shows very little wear. Looking at the guitar under blacklight the finish glows evenly just as it should with the exception of two lines of touch up coming off the nut on either side of the back of the neck. It is unclear why the finish was touched up as the guitar shows absolutely no signs of breaks or stress cracks to the naked eye and natural light. The guitar has been professionally setup in house and comes complete with its original hardshell case. Year: 1965. Model: SG Standard Finish: Cherry. Case: Original hardshell case. Condition: Excellent plus condition less some finish checking. Comments: Exceptionally fine mid 60s SG.
