Up for auction is this Bach Mt Vernon model 37 (lacquered) made in 1960. This horn plays really well, as you would expect of a Mt Vernon trumpet. It has that "Bach Mt Vernon sound".Compression is very good, valves & slides are smooth and fast. The horn is original except for the pistons which dont have matching numbers to the horn but are perfect with this trumpet. The first valve slide saddle has been reversed - actually makes it far more comfortable.Cosmetically, the trumpet is exactly as you can see in the pics (except that the camera is probably more critical than the eye). There is some lacquer and plating wear as you would expect, but this is only cosmetic. The bell has a ding to the rim, which could be repaired if required. Overall, this is a good playing horn. And being a Mt Vernon Bach, it is a rare find. A Bach case comes with the trumpet - the case is in excellent condition and comes from the 1970's - 80's timeframe. If you are an overseas buyer, please contact me for a shipping quote before bidding. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. I have owned this horn for a number of years and feel that I know it pretty well.Meanwhile, good luck with your bidding!
