Pre-Owned 2002 Gretsch G6119-1962HT Tennessee Rose (Japan) in excellent condition. Includes original hard case and COA.
This is a Pre-FMIX 2002 issue G6119-1962HT Tennessee Rose featuring vintage-style Hilo’Tron™ pickups, “Rocking bar” bridge, Gretsch by Bigsby® B6C vibrato tail-piece, simulated f-holes and deep attractive burgundy stain finish. Interestingly the guitar serial number is cross referenced on a paper labelled on the back of the headstock rather than the ink printed number usually found under the lacquer along with 'Made in Japan'. It is likely to be an early factory prototype model released for sale; it also has a 'Tennessean' scratch plate which is original to the guitar but the name only found on earlier 60s USA models. The correct serial number is found on the Gretsch Production Label under the neck pickup. (02911962HT-557)Condition: Excellent with only light superficial signs of use. The nickel parts have the desirable oxidisation giving that authentic aged look. The playability is superb and no fret wear. Complete with original case, tags and its certificate of authenticity.
