The 710e is built with a Lutz spruce top paired with rosewood for the back and sides, as well as a shorter 24-7/8” scale length and slotted headstock that make for a slinkiuer neck feel than most other dreadnoughts. The Lutz top raises the volume capable on the guitar to more of what it would be with a sitka top, and the looks match the tone with Hawaiian koa binding and a herringbone-style rosette.
