1959 Gretsch Country Gentleman. Estate Sale. Open To Reasonable Offers.The History of this guitar is well documented. The Guitar has never been upgraded, repaired or modified in any way.The original owner ordered the guitar directly from the factory, and had it shipped to Saskatoon, Canada. It was then sold in the early 60s to the current owner, who unfortunately passed away recently. It was his baby all these years. The Serial #26401 indicates a 1958 Gretsch Country Gentleman, but the features are 1959. ( Zero Fret .. " V " Bigsby…... )Most likely this was an early 59 that still used a 58 serial number plate. This guitar is to the best of my knowledge, completely stock. There is some fret wear on the lower frets, but she plays well with no buzzes. The electronics all work as they should, but the pots could use a cleaning. The neck is straight. There is some mild checking on the finish. The binding is very solid all around. There is no evidence of any breaks, cracks or repairs on this guitar. It is solid throughout and in truly great condition. This guitar feels, looks and plays wonderfully.
