This is a rare, 1995 Charvel Surfcaster Standard 3-Pickup electric guitar, made in Japan. All parts are original. The Surfcaster Standard was introduced in 1995; it was the first solidbody Surfcaster released by Charvel. Featuring a basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and three Chandler LST single-coil lipstick pickups, the Standard brought more vintage, Fender Strat-like tones to the Surfcaster and was more resistant to feedback at high volumes than the hollowbody Surfcasters. All wear is cosmetic only. There are a lot of finish chips and nicks along the body edges and on the back that have been touched up by the previous owner (see pictures). The top of the lipstick pickups show string wear. The back is of the neck has some normal fingernail scuffs/scratches and a few shallow nicks, the fingerboard is very clean and has just been oiled, the neck is straight, truss rod turns smoothly, the frets are in excellent condition with no flat spots or grooves, and the action has been professionally setup with a new set of strings. The guitar plays and and sounds beautiful. No case or other accessories are included.
