This beautiful Gibson classic hollow body is presented with its original case and to my knowledge is aone off custom ordered short scale model in simply stunning Cherry finish. Think Marty McFly in BackTo the Future (leading to Chuck Berry!) and you’re close, or Alvin Lee if you prefer, its THAT colour! It’s been a well loved instrument and has a very easy playing “not too thin” neck with low action.It has had some modifications along the way but has lost none of its charm and sounds spectacular.The asking price reflects these changes and has only had the tuners swopped since being purchased in 1992. The original Bigsby is long gone and swopped for a practical stop tail arrangement. The tunershave been replaced due to the originals no longer being functional and it’s been converted to Mono though could be reversed and the Varitone works extremely well, giving six great sounds!The pickups “sound just right”, but on inspection they look like they have had some mods ie new screws and new covers OR they are later swops. As said above, this is a one off, Vintage collectable 1961 Cherry Gibson with a story to tell and years of pleasure awaitingits lucky new owner, at a realistic price. Plugged into the right vintage (or boutique) amplifier, this is a world class guitar!
