Here's a 1984 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a Tobacco Burst finish. I have a thing for the Gibson tobacco finishes which closely resemble the original '59 standards. • This guitar is in pristine original condition. Les Paul standard from the early 1980's Tim Shaw era at Gibson. Patent applied for (PAF) stickers are intact on the pickup rings. Stamped dates on the reverse of the pickups. Just minor signs of play and slight aging (crazing) on the headstock. I looked for years for an example in this condition. The chevron figuring on the top resembles Duane Allman's '59. Weighs in around 8.5 lbs and is almost an exact match to a calendar photo of an original '59.. last pic. I would rate this guitar a Mint +Slight worming on the back that I didn't even notice until recently, I've owned it over two years. Clean as a whistle otherwise! Comes with an original chain saw case also in great shape. Single piece mahogany neck.. Nice!
