Lacquered Tweed amp Purchased several years ago. Excellent condition. It has great tweed tone! It is driven by 2 6L6 power tubes, so it is likely 30 watts. It can get quite loud. Think deluxe with a little extra horsepower. The amp is built like a tank with premium components. Why buy a kit when this baby is ready to go and built by a Pro? Unfortunately, the builder got sick and passed away some years back. I used to have more info on him including his name but have since lost that. He was based in Alabama. People that have his 6L6 circuit amps do not part with them easily. I am downsizing and will be selling off several amps and guitars in the coming weeks so check by my other listings if you have interest.Taken from Harmony Central review: a great sounding amp no matter what you play. Gorgeous tweedy clean in the #1 ch that morphs into a very VOX'y overdrive the more you crank it. Ch 2 is the thickener. Large mids and juicy plump bark is found here. Bridging these channels and plugging into 2 is my fave. Just goose each channel until you find you combo of bright clean and thick mids or VOX'y valve with a hint of rumble, whatever, the Dixie rocks. It excells at rootsy American music as well as hard rock..IF you dig warm tubey response. This amp,when playing my open strung tele on slide, could make Jimmy Page blush. This amp ain't noisey unless you can't play. It suffers no fools gladly...no hiding on this Dixie.
