The Super was Bacon & Day’s professional model just below the Silver Bell line. This one is a 19-fret model with a full no-hole flat-top Silver Bell tone ring and a press-on bolted resonator with a flat tulip flange. The Super headstock pearl inlay pattern is one of the prettiest and most elaborate in the Bacon line. Perfectly straight neck, perfect action for Irish or trad jazz playing. There’s plenty of honest finish wear on this one. The hooks are tarnished, though the rest of the chrome is pretty clean, including on the fine old Grover Preston tailpiece and geared Grover pancake tuning pegs.
