This very rare guitar is seldom seen and very clean.....actually EXCEPTIONALLY clean, and I'd call it mint but under microscopic inspection I can see some minute signs of use. I am a perfectionist so unless a guitar is PERFECT IN EVERY SINGLE WAY, I will NOT call it "mint" like most other sellers would. Too many other sellers bandy the term "mint" around and I will not exaggerate. I'd rather you be VERY pleasantly surprised and really thrilled when you open the case than even mildly disappointed. And THAT is how you'll feel when you get this!That's why I have a 100% feedback rating and I plan on keeping it that way.This wonderful semi-hollow body is simply beautiful and plays fantastic and sounds even better. This is a very cool instrument you do not see everyday. Access to the upper frets is excellent from the deep double cutaway. And WAY cool tone! Gretsch really knocked it out of the park with this one! I'll bet they could have sold a THOUSAND instead of only a hundred!This is an AWESOME guitar and you'll be AMAZED at the cool tones you get from it, how surprisingly versatile it is, and the easy playability. And it would just LIGHT UP on stage!Because I had such a large (REALLY large!) guitar collection, I was fortunate to be able to buy a guitar like this, play it maybe a couple hours, TOTAL, then out it back into it's case and preserve it as the investment collectible I knew it would be.My plan was to hold it at least 20 years before offering it to market, but my circumstances have changed, and now, just a year past the 1/2 way mark to my goal, it is available to the savvy collector/musician who knows a STEAL Of A DEAL when he sees one!
