Rare SG model with rare factory Pelham Blue finish. Some nice sounding pickups in it. What it is...A 2008 Gibson Special LTD in a rare Pelham Blue finish. All stock except for a DiMarzio PAF Pro in the bridge that sounds pretty darn good. Nice ebony neck--cool how it only has dot markers at the fifth and 12th frets. Upgraded with Grover tuners. Took a pic of fretboard while I was cleaning and oiling it. Fretboard and frets are in awesome condition. Edges of guitar show some nice relic-like wear, and other various minor playing wear throughout. All electronics, neck, frets, all great. I just set this up with new strings, checked intonation and cleaned entire guitar. It's ready to play and enjoy. Thanks.Online InfoSG Special LTD ranks among the luxurious SGs. It comes with a classic double-cut body made entirely of mahogany. Standard body features include beveled top edges, contoured back, set in neck joint and almost symmetrical double cutaway. The cutaway runs very deep and in combination with the 19th fret heel, it gives an easy access to the 22nd fret. Back in 1961, SGs made a revolution in guitar construction, making departure from the fat '50s necks. Neck on this Special LTD is made of mahogany and equipped with the standard C contour. Fingerboard is made of ebony, one of two traditional Gibson fingerboard tonewoods. The other one is rosewood. 22 medium jumbo frets are marked with dot inlays set only at 5th and 12th fret. 490T humbucker is in the bridge and 490R in the neck position.
