FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION.
I am a private collector.  In my collection, I own 200+ VOX guitars and amps-many of them built in the UK (JMI, Rose Morris, etc.).
This AC-30 (Amplifier & Cabinet combined) is the newest VOX piece I own.  I bought it early on based on its rarity but more so on its sound and beauty.  It has been played perhaps a dozen times at the most and is in superior condition.
HISTORY OF THE AC-30 TB.
Rose-Morris purchased the VOX brand from Dallas Industries in 1978 and ceased in-house amplifier production.  Instead it contracted with Dallas Industries for the continued manufacturing of VOX amps but became dissatisfied with the quality of their work in 1983 and contracted with the “Audio Factors” company, also in the UK.  Still not satisfied with the quality of the amps built by this firm, R-M signed a contract with Precision Electronics, another UK company, in 1988.  R-M was so pleased with the high quality of the amplifiers built by Precision Electronics that it purchased equity in the firm and renamed it “VOX Amplification, Ltd.”
That company, “VOX Amplification, Ltd.”, Wellingborough, UK, built this amplifier in 1991 and based on the very low serial number (014), it appears to be one of their earliest production amps.
How many were made?  I can’t find that information but know that it was a very low number-much lower than the number of “Limited” editions built during the same time period.
ABOUT THE AC-30 TB.
Working to capitalize on the legacy of the original AC-30, R-M introduced a “new” AC-30 line dubbed “Limited Edition”.  The circuitry for the “LE” series was designed onto a single printed circuit board (PCB).
Due to the success of the “Limited Edition” series, R-M, in 1991, introduced the “Vintage Series” line.  As with the “LE” series, the circuitry was again placed onto a single printed circuit board and the Model nomenclature became the “AC-30TB” (no reverb) and the “AC-30TBR” (with reverb).  NOTE:  The “AC-30TBR” turned out to be a nightmare and most every one had problems of some sort and it is extremely difficult to find one now that is totally original and working.
My amp being offered here for sale contains the “upgraded” “Alnico Blue” speakers made by the FANE company.  VOX turned to FANE to produce these amazing sounding speakers when Celestion could not be convinced by VOX to once again produce their “G12 Alnico Blue” speakers.  A VOX AC-30TB with these FANE “Alnico Blue” is a rarity.
Unlike most 1991+ “COLLECTOR” series amps having pressed wood for the cabinet side, mine that I am offering here has the “SOLID MAHOGANY” cabinet featuring brass fixtures, screws, etc.
Paul McCartney has used VOX “Vintage” series heads and 4x12 cabinets on his tours since early 1990.
This is an amazingly beautiful and extremely rare true and original VOX “Collector” amp.  Comes with original VOX AC-30 cover.
The amp is in Excellent condition having been rarely played and always stored in an environmentally controlled area.

ABOUT TUNEYOURSOUND. Tune Your Sound Sound Your Tune Guitars make Sounds ! Guitar players make Tunes. But which guitar makes your Tune best? The beginning point in making a tune is You. The music in your head goes to your hands which form chords and notes. The end point is the Tune heard by those listening created by the Sounds of the instruments in between. Our job at TuneYourSound.com (TYS) is to fill in the middle. Or, in other words, "complete the chain". We are guitar players and collectors at TuneYourSound.com. Collectively we have personally owned and played over 1800 guitars. And we have seen guitar players play-from Jimi using his teeth to Jimmy using his bow. And now, we want to tell you what we have learned over the years and under the stages. First: There should be two primary guitars in your life. The one you start with (by choice or coincidence) and the one you finish with (once you find it, you'll know it and keep it). But of course, humans are acquisitive by nature, so we are prone to own more than we need-but a guitar player must have what he really needs. Two: Sometimes it's better for a guitar to be heard than seen and other times it's better for a guitar to be seen than heard. So, play it both ways. Buy a guitar that does both. Three: Avoid the hype. Especially now with the Internet overloading us with data. Buy a guitar that you trust from someone you trust. Four: Make it personal. Establish a relationship with your seller. That way you will never be disappointed-nor abandoned. After all, it is still about money-your money. And you deserve to get more than you give. At TuneYourSound.com, we have the answer!
