Yes kids, it was Ox Blood with Metal Flake as is this Gibson Grabber, and not Black in color as some might think.... Any one who deeply stared at that cover will attest, and if you were not fed carrots throughout your developmental years so to garner that Bugs Bunny eyesight some of us can only dream of, get a magnifying lens out to verify this... as I did when I was first told!Here is your once in a lifetime opportunity to marvel one more time at such a treasure.This came out of Gene's personal stash of Gibson Grabbers.
This is a REAL VINTAGE GIBSON GRABBER and NOT a re-issue.Gene had Jim Cara restore it to playing condition and brought it to life to be played on stage whilst aboard the KISS KRUISE during their re-creation of ALIVE!It is my understanding that Gene played two Vintage Gibson Grabbers that evening and I am told that the instrument you see here was the only one of the two that was NOT re-finished.What you see is what you get.
It was personally signed by Gene on the front and rear neck.
It comes with a signed COA and other case candy including multiple signed pictures of Gene playing this exact instrument on stage (I probably have a few pictures of Gene playing the re-finished Grabber as well that were signed; simply because it was difficult to tell from a distance and in various lighting, which was which during the show. Each instrument was played for multiple songs throughout the set)... You can also GOOGLE your way to all the videos of Gene playing this very bass.. Just plug in KISS KRUISE V ALIVE on YOUTUBE and enjoy....I am happy to share the serial number with any prospective buyer.Please note that shipping is only an estimate.
Depending on insurance, the total cost will vary considerably.I have perfect feedback for good reason and open to offers, but please be gentlemanly about it....
