A killer acoustic for the stage! Gibson's Starburst Studio series was short lived but offered players a full sized acoustic that was optimized for the stage. All the features of the regular Starburst Model but without the Flame/Quilt Maple top and the Three-piece Maple neck. The body is made from figured maple. Check out the gorgeous Cherry Red Nitro finish on this example. The one piece maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with delicate star inlays. A built in pre-amp and pickup allows you to plug in. A rosewood bridge and Vintage Gibson style tuners keep it rock solid. Made in Montana, USA. An incredible guitar with gorgeous appointments!This Gibson plays and sounds good. The neck is straight, the action is good, and the frets are in Very good shape. The pickup delivers great plugged in tone. Everything works as it should. This is a nice used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches, and some minor discolration to the back of the neck from hand rub wear. Also note that their is some age related checking in places to the nitro finish, but this is very minor. No cracks or repairs. comes in the original Gibson Montana Case.This is a killer looking guitar. Gibson no longer offers the Starburst. In fact, Gibson offers few choices in ten under £2000 price point. Here's a nice Gibson with upscale appointments at a good price.
