Serial#: 258XX (1981)Body- Body contour looks derived from Fender bass/guitar models- 2-piece maple top and 3-piece alder back- Brown sunburst gloss finish- 2-ply B/W pickguard
Neck- 1 piece maple, oval shape, bolt-on- Truss rod adjustment accessible at the neck bottom (screw head/cylinder protruding outside)- Fretboard (top) is gloss finished- Back of the neck is very lightly coated (flat finish?)- Medium fretwires- Headstock looks like a Gibson Firebird- 2 string tees & Yamaha tuners- Serial number is embossed at the back of headstock
Electronics- Stock Yamaha humbucker & single coil pups- 1 master volume, 1 H-pup tone & 1 S-pup tone knobs- 3-way pup toggle switch (H-HS-S)- 1 push button for humbucker coil tap (series/parallel)
Bridge- Steel chrome-plated, 6 saddles- Bridge block is massive like a Strat which protrudes through the guitar's back giving it a string-through look
Item Description:Famous for being used by Cornell Dupree, rare model not too much on second hand market!It was manufactured only for 5 years from 1978 to 1983.Fret's remaining 70%The neck is flat, there is a margin of truss rod.
This instrument is a used one. Nice condition in our resemble,
but you might find a defect of something.
