Sweet sustainy chewey sound.
NICE trans red (bound) flamed-quilty maple top, chambered mahogany body.Body is semi-hollow with large chambers. Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, orig dot inlays (underneath block stickers), 22 frets, The block "inlay" shown are stable but easily removable stickers, not acutual inlay. 2 soap bar pickups, headstock overlay features logo and Chesterfield inlays, orig Guild tuning machines, 1-11/16" nut, 24-3/4" scale, Original clear Guild Buesbird control knobs. The necks on the Blues 90s are known for being big, and this guitar is no exception, with a generous, C profile that fills the palm nicely. The profile has plenty of depth down at the 1 11/16" nut, yet grows deeper in the higher registers of the board. The result is a neck that really adds to the sustain, resonance and overall tone of the instrument, while fretting very easily and feeling akin to the best Gibson necks of the late 1950s. The original frets are intact on the rosewood fretboard, and the frets show only light wear in the first position down near the nut. The frets have their full, original height and the guitar plays cleanly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots.The guitar did have a B7 Bigsby on it at one point, but was removed and mountint holes remain on top and butt end. Bridge pickup is a better sounding Kent Armstrong Vintage and neck pickup is orig Duncan P-90 that came with the guitar.Middle pickjp is a diMarzio - routing waas done by previous owner, and hand routed, apparently didn't use precision template. Not sure what year this was made but I believe in the mid 90s, as, I acquired it in the late 90s
