It also comes with a free license to the Strobe 2 synth plug in, which has hundreds of synth sounds and massive parameter changes. It's a really good plug-in. Sounds great. Some of Strobe's built in sounds come from Roli, which handle the instruments extra dimension of data. As amazing as Roli's equator and built in Seaboard sounds are, (and they really are expressive and different) Strobe 2 is also amazing and takes full advantage of the touch sensitive control. See Strobe 2 on Roli's website for more info on everything. It's hard to explain here. A Seaboard is certainly an entirely different dynamic to add to your studio set up of sound possibilities, or bring on stage. It ALSO comes with FXPansion's Synth Squad, which has an array of plug in synth sounds that take advantage of Roli's extra dimension of touch as well. This is installed thru the included USB thumb stick. I would say, overall the Seaboard is quite amazing for string sounds, or pads or the like, due to the ability to press into the keys and pulsate in an incredibly organic way. But with full chords as well as single notes. Very expressive and great for writing to picture or video I have found. Of course, when blended with your other gear it is just something extra, something different, or maybe the star of the whole show. It is incredibly expressive as Roli likes to demonstrate single lines/melodies/lead voices as well, see Roli's website. They have all the videos and they're great. Playing this thing is super fun as a Pianist, but it is not a keyboard, it's something different and that's what makes it so cool and organic.
