Have you ever wished you owned an aluminum bodied electric guitar, but never could afford it (If you're not familiar with how much aluminum electric guitars cost, do an Internet search). Or perhaps you make guitars but do not work with metal?Those who have had a chance to play an aluminum-based instrument rarely go back. With aluminum, you are capable of generating some of the most beautiful tones. Conversely, you can create some of the harshest sounds ever imagined. Sustain is amazing. Now is your chance to build your own aluminum Telecaster style electric guitar. I precision machined this body from a very large 6061 aircraft aluminum alloy billet. I did this on my manually operated mill. The back plate is 1/8" thick 6061 aluminum alloy. I used a very accurate template to get the correct shape, routing, and drilled holes positions. The metal top and sides and back plate are polished to a mirror finish. The neck pocket will accept any neck made for a Telecaster guitar. The four bolt holes align according to specs (but I cannot guarantee these holes will match your guitar neck, best drill new holes in neck if needed or start with new neck.)There are a lot of electric guitar bodies on eBay to be purchased, lots of Telecaster bodies. All made from wood. It is not common to see a guitar body made from aluminum come up for sale.I have included a photo of the inside of the guitar body, so you can see how it is hollowed out. The center of the guitar is solid, for strength for the neck, and better sustain and tonal qualities. I included a photo of the inside so you can see this solid center. Best choice of pickups would be very hot single coils. Gives very strong mid and low frequency response, and the natural resonance of the aluminum body strengthens the highs, so you get a very balanced output this way. Humbucker blades or stacked, of course, also will sound very good.The bridge is a quality bridge, gold color, and modern design, a bit thicker and heavier design. Thickness is 1 1/8". Dimensions otherwise are that of a typical Tele body. Weight is just below 6 pounds.Please look over the photos carefully. This body is ready, just bolt on your guitar neck and load it up with your hardware. Pick guard, bridge, and control panel cover, all included. What you see is what you get.
