For your consideration is a 1949 Gibson ES-150 Project Guitar.
Original: bound body, neck, truss rod, and plastic nut.There are seven original frets. The neck is missing 13 frets.The neck is cracked near the body and will need to be repaired.There is damage on the sides of the upper bout and on the lower bout. They may not need to be repaired.There is an additional output hole drilled at the lower bout damage.There is considerable checking and scratches typical of a 68 year old players instrument.Serial Number of 2170 with a Batch Number 26.I cannot be absolutely certain that this guitar is from 1949.
Period correct dot fingerboard inlays with unbound neck.Body size at lower bout: about 17".Body size at upper bout: about 13".Slab cut maple top, back, and sides.Solid Honduras mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.Two toned tobacco sunburst.I have the original truss rod cover and 6 open gear tuners that I am also selling.
