Listed here is a mint condition Crabb C/G 40 button anglo concertina built in 1974 (serial number #18441). The late original owner had two exact anglo concertinas made and gave one to each of his daughters. This particular concertina was kept hidden in a closet for 42 years because it was too sentimental and too precious to be played.This concertina has riveted action. The reeds are set in aluminium frames in a parallel manner typical of Crabb concertinas. The reeds are in excellent condition and appears to be untouched after it left the Crabb workshop. The bellows are in mint condition and have not been properly broken into...in other words .....it is in excellent condition with hardly sign of wear. Each reed sounds and every note work perfectly. Geoff Crabb contends that his father and brother used the best material available to make their reeds. The Crabb concertina case in also in a very good condition.Several years ago I was quoted a price of over USD $8,000.00 to have a new Crabb C/G 40 button concertina built by Geoff Crabb. Geoff is currently not in good health ....so it may not be possible for one to order a new Crabb concertina. Here is a chance to own a piece of concertina history - a concertina in mint condition - an instrument that collectors may want to own. You don't have to wait 8 to 10 years to have your 40 button anglo concertina made (Steve Dickinson and Colin Dipper's waiting list is over 8 years to have a brand new 40 button anglo made.
