Travel back in time with this acoustic electric guitar. Built in 2002 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania by Martin, it's a Martin DC-1E in the original Martin hard case. (Serial number 894114.) It also comes with the original Martin hang tags, the original "The Care and Feeding of Your Martin Guitar" booklet, and a Fort Bryan brown nylon strap. It's a great guitar in very good condition. There is a gouge on the treble-side top of the peghead. In general, there is quite minimal play wear all over. The frets and fingerboard are in great shape. The back is in great shape. There is strum wear on the pickguard. There are a couple scrapes on the top treble-side lower bout. 15-5/8" lower bout so it's almost dreadnought size, but not quite. Comes with an in-built active Fishman Prefix pickup with input through the soundhole. I just tested the pickup, and it works fine. It comes in the original Martin hard case. There is torn black vinyl on the underside of the case (as seen in the last photo), and the black strap that keeps the case lid from opening all the way is not connected to the lid. Came from a smoke-free clean home. All in all, it's a great All-American guitar in very nice condition. The prior owner played in his church band and treated it very well. If you do make an offer during business hours, please know that I typically respond to offers within the hour. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box. Please check out my Ebay store, “The 1970 Time Travel Trailer,” for more cool vintage stuff, including a bunch of vintage guitars (and a few ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, mandolins and amps, as well as fiddles, brass, woodwind, and various oddball musical instruments and old instrument brochures & catalogs). And please check out our new YouTube TV show, “Musical Treasure Hunting,” to see more of our adventures searching for old musical instruments.
