Up for consideration is an extremely rare vintage early 70s Cortez Set-Neck Les Paul Lawsuit...You never see these in set-neck especially with the lawsuit headstock...The guitar is the real deal. It has serious weight (around 11 lbs), and it built like a tank! The craftsmanship is top notch and is neck and neck with a vintage Gibson Les Paul, as those that have owned them can attest to. The Cortez has been upgraded with vintage Dimarzios in both positions, and black Wilkinson tuners as well. The pickups sound amazing, and the tuners are a serious upgrade! I just put the tuners on recently, so those are not reflected in the pics. The original tuners will be included as well, but honestly they were the weakest link on the guitar. The overall condition is good, however there is an area by the pots where the body has had the wood chipped away, possibly intentionally by someone years and years ago (please refer to the extreme close up photo #5)...I bought this about 10 years ago from the original owners son, so I am the 3rd owner...When I bought it, the guitar had a makeshift pickguard covering the area by the pots...It has some dings and scratches consistent with a guitar this old, but overall cosmetically it's a 7/10...The action is low,the neck is straight, and the frets are in good shape as well...This is a beautiful, and very well built Lawsuit Les Paul...It plays and sounds unreal! I never thought I would be selling this guitar, and I absolutely love it! I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio, and this thing is just as nice, and has the vintage mojo!
