The body is in excellenty condition considering the age. There are no cracks to neither top or bottom. The center seam on the back is slightly open on the lower and upper part, but it has been like that as long as I owned it. It has a continous strip/cleat over the center seam inside. Up to you if you want to adress that now that it is "down for repair" anyway. I cannot see any old cracks/repairs either, apart from a varnish repair on the upper treble side. (strip parallell to where the fingerboard goes.)Pegbox and neck:
Overall looks good. However, it has several hairline cracks between some of the peg-holes. Could therefor need bushings. There is a repair on the  lower part of the heel, glued about 1/2 inch from the base point of the heel. The pegs are, allthou probably original, not ornated or very special. (I have a new set of 8 geared small wittner pegs that I intended to fit with slight reaming and spiral bushings. I got a smaller size as they would fit without too invasive reaming/bushing of the pegholes. Not included in the auction but can be sold separately for 150USD; under cost)Fingerboard and tailpiece:
I have heard at two separate occations, by knowledgable people, that the fingerboard and tailpiece seems to have been taken by O. Iversen from an older instrument when he made this one. Bone & mother of pearl on goat horn. Very nicely made. The bone part on the bottom of the tailpiece could use some re-gluing.I have included 2 pictures of how it used to look before disassembly. For sale to luthiers or qualified repair-people. I have described the instrument, to the best of my knowledge, both positive and negative aspects. However, this is sold as a broken instrument - for repair. There might be other things broken as well, that I cannot see. So please study the pictures carefully and make your own assessment. Assume it needs more work and adjustments.Comes complete with all the parts, even a allmost new set of Fanitullen strings that I paid 150USD for. It was stringed up and played for just a little bit before I decided to take the neck off. Also a plain case in included. Local pick-up and/or inspection is ok. Let me know if you have any questions.
