Vintage 1923 Conn New Wonder Series I Soprano Saxophone with Silver Plate, Gold Wash Bell, and Pearl Keys/Rollers - used and sold as is. Sale includes original case, mouthpiece, and music lyre. The horn and case have been stored indoors with a single owner from at least the early 1950s and has been played/handled very little during this time.
This saxophone was overhauled in 1983 to include new pads and corks (visually in good condition but a small segment of cork at the top is missing); however, while it is in good condition, it may still need some fine tuning adjustments. The horn shows normal wear for its age including minor dings/scratches and the original scroll work is present below the bell. There is a small ding on the neck opposite the octave key. I played it when I prepared this ad and was able to run the scale with accidentals from bottom to top (and I learned my chops aren't what they were 20 years ago!!). As shown in two pictures, Conn's instrument manufacturing markings are as follows: ATD DEC.8.1914
