For sale here’s a black Newburgh-made STEINBERGER GM4T with original passive Seymour Duncan pickups and TransTrem transposing tremolo!

The guitar is one of the last examples of the Newburgh production before they switched to Nashville, serial N14171.
It is a rare GM model originally fitted with passive Seymour Duncan pickups, two Hot Rails and a Custom Custom, volume and tone and 5 way switch. A typical configuration usually found on GR models, but a few GM were factory-made like this.
The neck is straight and it has just undergone a complete fret dressing and polishing. Some wear on the back, but mainly minor scratches. A ding is present on the low E side of the neck, and also the same side of the headpiece is missing a small piece. A cosmetic flaws that does not alter the guitar playability in any way, the low E string is solidly clamped as the other ones.Frets are very high and have got plenty of life left. Fretboard is also very clean and slick.
The body of course shows some signs of the times, but nothing major for twenty years old guitar. See pictures for clearer references.
The TransTrem has just been completely disassembled, cleaned and lubed, bearings and pins have been replaced for smoother performances. It does show some wear, mainly on the Low E side, as well as the two lower saddles (they all spin well except for the Low E one which is stuck). Trem arm included.
No gigbag included - but I will pack it very well and sturdy.
